Bracknell Bees’ Player/Coach Lukas Smital has finalised his import quota for the upcoming EPL season with the signing of Slovenian forward Luka Bašič.

The 26-year-old boasts a wealth of European experience, having previously iced in Slovenia, Sweden, France, Kazakhstan and Slovakia.

He has also represented his country at U18, U20 and senior levels.

Smital said: “Luka is talented player with good offensive skills that I’m very pleased to have been able to secure the signature of for this season.

“He is strong in front of the net, useful on special teams and has a great deal of experience for someone of his age for all over Europe as well as national teams.

On a personal level he is a good down to earth guy that I’m looking forward to working with next season.
