Assistant Coach Richard Hartmann has urged Braehead Clan to forget all about last week’s results.
The Glasgow outfit suffered poor defeats in the Elite League at home to Sheffield Steelers then at Coventry Blaze, shipping a double figure amount of goals in the process.
Despite the results the Slovakian says all is good as the team looks to bounce back this weekend at Manchester Storm and Sheffield Steelers.
He said: “We’ve told the boys we can’t cry about what happened in the two games last week. It’s gone now, we can’t change it and we have to look ahead to the games this weekend.
“They are very important to us and we’ve done everything we can this week to prepare, particularly in defence, which was a problem.
“Hopefully what happened has made us that little bit stronger as we move on to the two matches. From what I’ve seen, it’s gone really well and hopefully that will translate when we take to the ice.”
Braehead practised at Ayrshire this week to help them prepare for the different size of ice at Altrincham, and the team have also spent time looking at footage from the Sheffield game to pinpoint areas for improvement.
“We only played Sheffield last week so we’ve analysed the whole game and prepared for this one with the information we got from it.
“We’ve run them close in our two games this season and Saturday’s game was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in my career.
“They are a good side, but we know their weakness and have worked on that over the course of the week. Now we have to go out and get the points.”
