Basingstoke Bison have confirmed the double re-signing of forwards Grant Rounding and Daniel Lackey.
Rounding (above) joined the club from Bracknell Bees in 2014, while Lackey made the step up from NIHL2 South last season after impressing with Basingstoke Buffalo.
Bison boss Doug Sheppard said: “Grant has really been unlucky with injuries, but I think we saw at the end of last season what he brings to table.
“His speed and forechecking is always going to cause problems to other teams.
“Daniel brings a more physical style of play to the team and has impressed me with his dedication to training, even when he was not in the Bison line-up.
“He takes his hockey very seriously and he will only improve being on the team for a full season.”
Bison have also dismissed rumours they will be forced to play away from Basingstoke this season.
Issues with their rink sparked speculation about where they would be based, but the club has confirmed it will remain at Basingstoke Arena while the problems are resolved.
“We are working hard alongside Basingstoke and Deane Council to rectify issues within the Arena,” said Planet Ice boss John Neville.
“The council have been kept informed of all issues within the building and have been extremely supportive.
“Together, we feel we can work towards a mutually beneficial solution for the users and supporters of the rink, alongside the town as a whole.
“We remain committed to Basingstoke and look forward to working on the already publicised new development, which would include a new home for the Bison.
“We look forward to welcoming our fanbase back to the Basingstoke Arena next season as we step up preparations for the defence of our league title.”
