Cardiff Devils extended their lead at the top of the Elite League to five points after picking up a pair of wins against Coventry Blaze.
Jake Morissette (2) and Tomas Kurka (2) led the scoring in a comfortable 7-2 home victory and Cardiff followed up with a 4-3 overtime success in the reverse fixture – Guillaume Doucet got the winner.
Sheffield Steelers and Nottingham Panthers split their weekend double-header which was watched by over 16,000 fans.
Goals by Rod Sarich and Robert Dowd helped Sheffield to a 2-1 win on home ice, but Nottingham gained their revenge in the return game as they secured a 5-3 victory.
Brendan brooks (2) Chris Bruton and Stefan Meyer were on target for Braehead in their 4-2 success at Dundee Stars, but Clan failed to follow up on home ice as they fell 4-3 to Belfast Giants after overtime.
Two goals each for Lou Dickenson and Bobby Chaumont helped Dundee to a 6-2 win at Edinburgh. That defeat completed a miserable weekend for the Capitals who also crashed 3-0 at Fife Flyers.
Vinny Scarsella (2) topped the scoring for Manchester Storm as they recorded an excellent 5-1 win at home to Fife.
