Great Britain U20 were beaten 4-3 after overtime against Slovenia in their opening game of the World Championship (Division 1B) tournament in Hungary.

Slovenia hit penalty trouble in the final session and GB took full advantage, with Cameron Pound and Sam Duggan bagging powerplay goals to make it 3-2.
The lead lasted until five and a half minutes from time, when Kritof Potocnik reacted quickly to a rebound to net the game-tying goal.
Glenn Billing nearly grabbed the winner in the final second of regulation time, but it was Slovenia who went on to claim victory as Blaz Tomazevic fired home off the crossbar win the game in the 62nd minute.
Assistant Coach Slava Koulikov said: “That was certainly a point gained and it could be a huge point in the tournament standings.
“Slovenia created a lot of chances and Renny was excellent, he gave us a real chance to win. There was character to come from behind twice and we need to show that character again on Monday.”
