Manchester Storm have announced the signing of Croatian defenceman Ivan Sijan.
Sijan, 29, is expected to arrive in Manchester later this week and has previous experience in EIHL with Milton Keynes Lightning.
The defenceman has made 161 appearances in the EBEL, 56 in Norway’s second tier and 28 international appearances for Croatia.
“As you all know we’re a battling through some pretty major injuries at the moment,” said head coach Ryan Finnerty
“The opportunity arose to sign Ivan and we jumped at it. He’s a big body, skates well and most importantly knows what to expect from this league.
“We can’t wait to get him over here and I’m sure the fans at the Shelter will give him a huge welcome on Sunday against Dundee.”
The club also announced that Kyle Hope has left the club to make the switch to Denmark.
