Sheffield Spartans retained their NIHL North Moralee D1 status after a comfortable 5-0 victory against Widnes Wild at Blackburn Arena.

Spartans dominated the D2 outfit throughout the promotion/relegation play-off game, out-shooting Wild 40-24.

Stuart Brittle and Elliott Knell put Spartans 2-0 ahead by the end of the first period, before Ross Jordan extended the lead to three in the middle session.

Ollie Barron and Shaun Wild completed the scoring in the final period.
