Invicta Dynamos host Chelmsford Chieftains on Sunday knowing anything less than victory could signal an end to their NIHL1 South title hopes.

Dynamos head into the weekend six points behind the Chieftains, meaning a win against their rivals would set up a thrilling end to the season.

Both teams are also in action on Saturday, with Dynamos travelling to meet Wightlink Raiders while Chieftains visit Cardiff Devils NIHL.

Head Coach Kevin Parrish admitted his team face a massive weekend, while captain Nicky Lewis said the two games may well decide their fate this season.

“Wightlink is a tough place to play and they are on a bit of a downer having lost a few games, but they will be up for it,” said Lewis.

“To beat Chelmsford we’re going to have to win every battle out there on the ice and be better than them.”

London Raiders host Solent Devils on Saturday looking to end an 11-game run without a win.

Raiders have won one and drawn two of their previous meetings this season and defenseman David Oliver says his team are desperate for a win.

“It’s a must-win game on Saturday – no questions asked,” said Oliver.

“Looking at our fixture list we still have to play a lot of the teams around us, which is where we need to be showing what we can do and try and move up the table and get in a better place before the play-offs.

“We’re the only ones who can turn this around and as a team we are going to.”
