Chelmsford Chieftains returned to the top of NIHL1 South after securing two victories from their weekend double-header against Bracknell Hornets.

Danny Hammond (2) and Cameron Bartlett (2) topped the scoring in Chieftains’ 7-3 road success, while Liam Chong bagged a pair in their 7-2 win on home ice.

Alan Green scored four for Oxford City Stars in their impressive 6-3 victory at Invicta Dynamos.

Streatham IHC came from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 at home to MK Thunder – Callum Best grabbed the equaliser with just 21 seconds remaining.

In D2S, two goals each for Solomon Smith and Matt Brown helped Haringey Racers to a 6-4 home win against Invicta Mustangs.

Andrew Robinson scored twice for Wightlink Buccaneers as they recorded a 4-2 road success at Swindon Wildcats NIHL.

Giovanni Raffaelli (2) led the way for Bristol Pitbulls in their 5-3 cup victory at Lee Valley Lions, while Cardiff Fire opened their cup campaign with a 6-2 home win against Slough Jets.
