Streatham Redskins and Chelmsford Chieftains will contest this year’s NIHL1 South Cup final after successfully negotiating their last-four ties.
Redskins followed up a 1-0 home leg success against Invicta Dynamos with an impressive 5-3 victory in the return game – Nick Chinn (above) topped the scoring in the second leg with a hat-trick.
Ross Brears grabbed the equaliser for the Chieftains as they drew 1-1 against Wightlink Raiders in the first leg of their semi-final, before they sealed their place in the final with a comfortable 6-0 home victory in the reverse fixture – Danny Hammond (2) led their scoring.
London Raiders snapped their long winless streak with an 8-2 victory at home to MK Thunder – Marek Nahlik and Tom Davis both scored twice – but they failed to follow up at Bracknell as the Hornets secured an 8-5 success.
Jamie Hayes hit a hat-trick for Cardiff Devils NIHL in their 5-2 home win against Oxford City Stars, while Andrew Magee (2) led the way for Solent Devils in their 6-6 draw at MK Thunder.
Dale Jowett and Nathan Pollard both bagged hat-tricks from Peterborough Islanders as they cruised to a 12-0 victory at Slough Jets.
Cardiff Fire won 5-1 at home to Swindon Wildcats NIHL – Robert Sedlak and Jordan Powell both scored twice.
Loris Taylor (2) led the scoring for the Wildcats in their 3-1 home success against Bristol Pitbulls, while Basingstoke Buffalo romped to a 15-4 home victory against Wightlink Tigers.
