Sydney Ice Dogs have confirmed Great Britain defenseman Paul Swindlehurst is set to join their roster for the 2016 season.

Swindlehurst has spent the last three seasons in the Elite League with Dundee Stars, Nottingham Panthers and Manchester Storm.

Ice Dogs’ General Manager Jason Juba said: “We’re very excited to announce the signing of Paul Swindlehurst. He’s smart, hockey sense guy who can help us in all areas including the Power play and penalty killing units.

“Defensively, his positioning is really good and he makes that good first pass and gets the puck up to the forwards quickly. His ability to read the play will make him a great addition to our power play unit as well.”
