Pavel Vorobyev has signed for a second season with Edinburgh Capitals.
The ex-Chicago Blackhawks forward enjoyed a productive first year in the Elite League, scoring 16 goals with 34 assists in 50 games.
Vorobyev said: “Last season I enjoyed playing with the Edinburgh Capitals – I was happy.
“Edinburgh is a great city with a great set of fans and the club has great management who make you feel hugely welcome.
“I liked playing in Edinburgh and I felt at home – that’s important to me. I felt comfortable living here and playing for the team. When Scott proposed a contract for next season, I didn’t have to think long and agreed to return quickly.
“At a minimum I want to help Edinburgh make the play-offs. I’ll go out every game and give 100 percent and will try to improve on my return in 2016/17. I want to do more.
“I’m looking forward to playing for Dmitri (Khristich). He was a great player and I’m sure he is going to be a excellent coach to play for.
“I’m looking forward to next season and to returning to Edinburgh.”
