Coventry Blaze have announced the return of defenceman Chris Pohlkamp for the 2021 Elite League series.
The 25-year-old, in his first professional season, picked up 16 points (four goals, 13 assists) in 57 regular season games for the Blaze over the 2019/20 campaign.
Before joining the Blaze, the right shooter came through Bowling Green State University where he played 141 times registering 36 points, made up of two goals and 34 assists.
Since leaving Coventry last year, Pohlkamp hasn’t iced for any other team so will look to continue where he left off at the end of last season.

Blaze head coach Danny Stewart talked up his attributes and is pleased to get the chance to re-sign a player who was part of the team that ended the season in third place in 19-20.
“Chris was a big part of our back-end as he transitioned well into pro,” Stewart said. “He’s good in all areas. He skates well, is reliable defensively and a big part of our penalty-kill. He’s young and hungry so we’re glad to get him back for this.”
Pohlkamp joins David Clements, Paul Swindlehurst and Cole Shudra on the Blaze blue-line for the Elite Series and is the first confirmed import signing of the competition.
Coventry will play Manchester Storm in the opening game of the Elite Series on Saturday 3rd April, with all games taking place behind closed doors at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.
