MK Lightning have signed Anglo-Canadian forward Craig Scott for the 2016/17 season.
Scott joins Lightning after a stellar season with Peterborough Phantoms.
He said: “I’m very excited to be coming to Milton Keynes, being part of this organization and having a successful season.
“My family and I are both thrilled that I’m returning to where I started playing hockey as a kid.
“I had a blast in Peterborough this past season and enjoyed my time there.
“I want say a huge thanks to my great teammates, to Slava and the rest of the Phantoms organisation for everything they’ve done for me.
“I’m looking forward to meeting the MK players, fans and the rest of the Lightning family.
“Speaking with Pete Russell (Head Coach), it sounds like the club has a very bright future and I’m very excited to be a part of it.”
Russell added: “I’m absolutely delighted Craig has agreed to join us in MK. He has good speed, good hockey sense and works hard in the tough areas – he’s a key addition to our core group here.
“When I spoke to Craig, he had nothing but positive things to say about our current team and the club. I really felt good speaking to him and everything felt right. He is a great guy.
“All the reports on him were positive and I am delighted he chose us, as he wasn’t short of offers. But he has a real desire to be part of everything we are doing and building here in MK – that’s huge for me.
“I’m looking forward to working with him and having him as part of our group and I know our great fanbase will be delighted with this addition.”
