Coventry Blaze have secured the services of forwards Barry Almeida and T.J. Syner.

The duo signed to play in the Alps league with Italian club Gherdeina this season, but both departed after just a handful of games.

Almeida (above) has won seven championships during his career and was selected in the USHL First All-Star team in 2007/08.

He was the leading scorer for the East Coast Hockey League’s Utah Grizzlies in 2015/16 with 34 goals in 67 games.

Syner (above) also played for the Grizzlies last term, registering 16 goals with 36 assists in 65 games.

In 2012/13 the pair won the prestigious ECHL Kelly Cup with the Reading Royals.

Blaze have also confirmed that forwards Bjorn Bombis and Taylor Carnevale have left the club.
