Coronavirus: The reaction

The Elite League announced that the remainder of the current season was to be cancelled immediately as a result over the ongoing concern regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

We’ve been watching the reaction closely across social media and here’s the pick of what we’ve seen since the news that 2019/2020 was prematurely and officially over.

Time to look for pro-active solutions with regards to league & club cash-flow.
Have an @officialEIHL ‘Magic Weekend’ to start the season in Nottingham, all 10 teams involved (3 games Saturday, 2 games Sunday). This seasons POFW tickets become valid for this new event.

Fans of @officialEIHL stop worrying about your money. Some clubs won't be able to honour players wages or even be able to afford to get them back home. Support your clubs and let them have the extra few pounds. There is also rink staff who rely on wages too you know #think
