Solihull Barons have boosted their defensive options for the forthcoming NIHL North Moralee D1 season with the signing of experienced ‘D’ man Dale White.
The 26-year-old has previously iced for Coventry Blaze in the Elite League and spent last season in the EPL with Telford Tigers.
Barons’ boss Perry Doyle said: “We need to be and will be a different defensive prospect this season compared to last.
“The boys will be going into the season as fit as they can be so we can play much faster and for the full sixty minutes.
“That begins at the back and with players of the calibre of Dale we can be much more mobile both in terms of taking the game to the opposition’s forwards as well as getting the puck up through the neutral zone and into the opposition end.
Deeside Dragons’ new boss Scott McKenzie has started to put his roster together with two new faces and a returnee.
Geoff Wigglesworth and Chris Gee have followed McKenzie from Widnes Wild, while Marc Lovell has accepted an offer to become Player/Assistant Coach.
Billingham Stars have added Luke Brown and Jack Watkins to their squad.
Jamie Tinsley, Josh Maddock and Joe Stamp have all agreed another season with Whitley Warriors. Ex-Blackburn Hawks netminder Daniel Brittle has signed for Telford Tigers NIHL.
In Laidler D2, Blackburn Eagles have confirmed Aaron Jordan and Carl Slater return for a further year with the club.
Andy Dunn has left D1 champions Blackburn Hawks to join Altrincham Aces, while Connor McNaughton is back at Coventry Blaze after a season with Nottingham Lions.
Blaze netminder David Roxburgh has also signed for a further season with the Midlands outfit.
Bez Hughes, Joe Gilbert and Sheldon Cassidy have all agreed another year with Widnes.
