As indie legends James once asked – how was it for you?
Sunday’s Elite Challenge Cup Final saw Nottingham Panthers and Cardiff Devils go head-to-head in the competition’s second ever one-off final.
Devils fans were excited ahead of the game as their team looked to win back-to back Challenge Cups.

Although this Devils fan thought they were a bit quiet.

Speaking of BBC Sport, not everyone was impressed with the coverage.
Is this being broadcast via a dial-up internet connection???? #CC16 — HockeyBG (@HockeyBG) 6 March 2016
Although others were.
OT for @PanthersIHC and @cardiffdevils in #CC16 – an exciting game but without goals – @BBCSport website coverage has been good 🙂 #EIHL

Sheffield Steelers’ boss Paul Thompson wasn’t best pleased that his team’s biggest rivals were housed in the home dressing room.
As for the game itself – neither team could score in regular time so we went to overtime, where Devils’ netminder Ben Bowns produced the save of the match.
Have to say that the overhead glove save from @bownsy21 late in OT was spectacular @cardiffdevils @IceTimeTV pic.twitter.com/sAV758uTWh — Adrian Rapps Photos (@ARPhotoLtd) 6 March 2016
He was eventually beaten 15 minutes into the extra period as Evan Mosey fired home to the delight of the Panthers’ fans.
Congratulations to @PanthersIHC as they won #CC16 in overtime. pic.twitter.com/fYuA6xzA8l

Referee Tom Darnell had enjoyed himself.
What a game of hockey! Privilege to call a game like that. Both teams battled hard, played hockey, and we let them. #classic #CC16 #EIHL — Tom Darnell (@tomdarns) 6 March 2016
We congratulated the winners.
Congratulations @PanthersIHC on your 1-0 win against @cardiffdevils – there’ll be a lot of achy bodies tomorrow. #CC16

For Devils’ boss Andrew Lord – it was disappointment.

While Corey Neilson denied he was ‘cool’.
Panthers’ fans said: “All in all it was a great day.”
If you haven’t read @paulba‘s latest TCW article yet @PanthersIHC fans you really should. Great recap of a great day https://t.co/JNKAw4jxuT
