Cardiff Devils extended their lead at the top of the Elite League to eleven points after recording a pair of victories.
Chris Culligan (2) led the scoring as the Devils won 6-3 at Coventry Blaze, while Gleason Fournier’s late goal sealed a 3-2 home success against Sheffield Steelers.
Nottingham Panthers ended their six-game losing run with a four-point weekend on home ice.
Matt Carter grabbed the decider in Panthers’ 3-2 shoot-out victory over Belfast Giants, while Alex Nikiforuk’s second goal of the game secured a 3-2 win against Fife Flyers.
That result completed a miserable weekend for the Flyers who also fell 6-5 on home ice against Braehead Clan – Scott Pitt bagged the winner for the visitors.
Pavel Vorobyev was the star of the show with four goals during Edinburgh Capitals’ 6-4 home victory over Braehead.
Manchester Storm triumphed 5-1 at home to Belfast, but they failed to follow up at Dundee as the Stars claimed a 6-3 success – Brett Switzer scored three for the home team.
Sheffield are through to the Challenge Cup semi-final after a 7-1 home win against Edinburgh completed a 9-3 aggregate victory.
