Cardiff Devils are still top of the Elite League after recording a four point weekend.
Sean Bentivoglio bagged the winner in Cardiff’s 4-3 overtime victory at Nottingham Panthers, and the Devils followed up with a 5-3 home success against Manchester Storm.
Belfast Giants also secured two victories from their weekend road trip to Scotland.
Michael Forney (3) topped the scoring in the Giants’ 5-4 win at Braehead Clan, while Colin Shields (2) led the way in their 8-3 success at Edinburgh Capitals.
Levi Nelson second goal of the game sealed a 5-4 home win for Sheffield at home to Dundee Stars, and the Steelers followed up with an 8-2 victory at Coventry Blaze – Colton Fretter (4) was the star for the visitors.
Coventry had better luck at Manchester as Barry Almeida’s second of the night secured a 5-4 overtime success.
Fife Flyers had mixed fortunes on home ice, with both their games needing overtime to determine a winner.
The Flyers were defeated 5-4 by Edinburgh before bouncing back with a 4-3 victory over Nottingham – Matt Sisca grabbed the deciding goal.
Jacob Johnston scored the winner as Edinburgh triumphed 4-3 after a shoot-out at Dundee.
