Fife Flyers have completed the signing of forward Mathew Sisca.

The 25-year-old is no stranger to the Elite League, having spent last season with Manchester Storm.

Sisca, an Italian/Canadian dual passport holder, racked up 34 goals and 43 assists from 61 games during his debut season in Britain.

Head Coach Todd Dutiaume said: I’m excited to link Matt up with our returning forwards. That added offensive punch up front was something I was keen to shore up right away and Matt definitely brings that.

“Our big ice suits his game and I’m sure he will become a fan favourite very quickly.

“Matt and I had extensive discussions regarding the direction and goals of the club and he gets what we are getting to accomplish.

“I have some more offers on the table to other players at the moment, and I’m confident we’ll be making some key additions to the roster.

“I’m really pleased to add Mathew to the Flyers line up and look forward to welcoming him to Kirkcaldy.”

Sisca added: “I’m delighted to be returning to the EIHL for a second season, and to join the Flyers.

“I enjoyed playing against the Flyers last season. Fife Ice Arena is a tough rink to play in, so it’ll be nice to play there as part of the home team rather than the away team this season.

“I’m excited for the season ahead and look forward to putting on the Flyers jersey and hopefully winning some silverware.”
