Former EIHL playoff champion Tanaka joins the Clan

Clan, British Ice Hockey
Glasgow’s Braehead Clan are pleased to confirm that British Canadian forward Cale Tanaka will join the club on a tryout basis.
The 31-year-old who recently moved to Glasgow to take up a job, will start skating with the Clan this week.
Tanaka has played in nearly 250 EIHL games for the Hull Stingrays, Coventry Blaze and Dundee Stars since coming to the UK in 2012.
The Stouffville, Ontario, native was a member of the Coventry team that won the EIHL playoffs with a shock defeat of the Sheffield Steelers back in 2015.
Clan Hockey & Operations Director Gareth Chalmers commented: “Cale is living and working in Glasgow and after speaking with us, we understood he was looking to stay involved in hockey in some capacity.
“Cale has made it clear he is here for work, however is willing to give everything he can to the club when he can.
“With Adam Brace and Craig Peacock currently out of the line-up through injury, we thought it would be good idea to get Cale down so John can take a look at him.
“Cale is a seasoned EIHL player now and someone that can bring valuable experience to the club, we’re looking forward to working with him.”
Tickets for the visit of the Coventry Blaze on Saturday (7:00pm face-off) and the Nottingham Panthers on Sunday (6:00pm face-off), are available now via braeheadclan.com, by calling 0844 499 1700 or direct at the Braehead Arena box office.
