Glasgow Clan have started to find their feet in the Elite League after a tough couple of months.
The Scottish outfit found themselves hovering in and around the play-off spots in recent months.
The side now look to be staging a resurgence having won their last four consecutive games.
This included ending Belfast Giants’ 13 game unbeaten run, in dramatic fashion over the weekend.
Other results included a 5-3 win over Dundee Stars, 4-3 victory over Manchester Storm and a 2-1 triumph over Nottingham Panthers.
With these results the Clan have moved up into sixth place in the Elite League.
They sit a point behind Guildford Flames and four behind the Panthers.
This is with five games in hand on the Flames and four on Nottingham.
If results go their way over the next few weeks Glasgow Clan could see themselves occupying a top four spot.
To do this they’ll need to continue this form which includes a mid-week trip to Sheffield for the Steelers.
Blueliner Mitch Jones believes his side need to stop letting teams back into the game if they want another win.
“We lost in Sheffield in overtime just before Christmas after giving up a lead late on and those are tough to take. You work as hard as we did for 59 minutes then in that one minute, you can lose a game.”
He continued to say: “It’s been going well…Everybody’s positive and enjoying themselves and the atmosphere’s fun so we hope to keep that rolling going into this week.
“There’s always confidence whenever you win a game or four games so it’s important we keep thriving off it, keep doing what works for us as a team and we can hopefully keep the streak going.”
With so many games in hand anything could happen between now and the seasons end.
And the return of fans to the Braehead Arena will be a huge booster for the Clan.
