Belfast Giants forward Lewis Hook says they’d rather be playing than training as they prepare for their latest Elite League test.
Adam Keefe’s side are off to Sheffield to take on the Steelers with each team keen to keep momentum going after they both picked up four points at the weekend.
And Hook knows they’ll face a big test against the league leaders so soon after two tough, but deserved wins in Cardiff.
“When you are winning, you don’t want to be training. You want to just keep playing games,” he said.
“We got our legs going again in practice and got prepared and we’ll have the special teams prepared as well.
“Last weekend was huge for us and it put us straight back to where we want to be in the league with games in-hand. We want to keep on this roll now.”

It’s a first meeting of the season against Aaron Fox’s side and there have been some tasty battles between the two in recent years.
Hook is fully briefed on what to expect from the team who beat Nottingham Panthers and Coventry Blaze over the weekend.
But insists Giants have ti stick to their own game plan if they are claim success at the Fly DSA Arena in front of the FreeSports cameras.
He added:”We haven’t played Sheffield yet, though we know they are an offensive hockey team and we know it will be tough going into their building on Wednesday night.
“They are a very offensive hockey team – their d-men like to jump in and it is really like a 5-man offensive unit when they are out there.”
“We just need to stick our game plan. We’ve been playing very well last weekend so we just need to keep going..do our thing and I’m sure we’ll get the win.
“We just need to keep going and there is no better time to play more games right now.”
