Chris Jones has signed a new deal with Cardiff Devils.

Jones has spent the majority of his career with the Devils’ organisation and played a increased role last season, becoming a regular feature on the team’s penalty killing unit that was ranked number one in the Elite League.

Player/Coach Andrew Lord said: “Jones is a great skater, which is a big reason he earned a spot on the PK unit.

“He continues to improve and his dedication to his on ice and off ice training means he will be given more opportunity to play this coming season.

“In years past, we’ve called upon him to step into any line and he plays that role well.

“His skating ability is his best asset and he is still getting better every year.”
