Lightning add British trio to their squad

MK Lightning have confirmed Glenn Billing (above), Luc Johnson and Edward Knaggs will be part of the team’s roster next season.

All three players will be on two-way contracts with other clubs.

Lightning boss Pete Russell said: “I’m delighted to have retained Glen, Luc and Edward on two-way under-23 contracts.

“These three young men have worked tirelessly on and off the ice. Everyone can see their development each season and being part of an Elite League environment will only enhance their development.

“At this stage they will be training on and off the ice with the Lightning and playing each week in the NIHL.

“This new U23 rule is a great addition to the EIHL and we’re aiming to do all we can to use it in the correct way, to create future players for the Lightning and Great Britain.”
