Swindon Wildcats have confirmed Player/Coach Aaron Nell and forward Jonas Hoog have agreed a further season with the club.
The duo have enjoyed another productive campaign in the EPL, with Nell (above) scoring 38 goals with 35 assists, while Hoog has weighed in with 18 goals and 49 assists.
“I’m very happy to be continuing in my role here in Swindon,” said Nell.
“Stepping in to the position this season has proved to be a very steep learning curve for me, but it’s one that I’ve really enjoyed and I’m looking forward to helping the club improve next year – it’s a very exciting time to be part of the continuing growth of the club.”
Hoog has played over 250 games for the Wildcats, and was the league’s highest points scorer in 2011/12 and 2012/13.
He said: “I usually go back home to Sweden at the end of the season and take a break from the game before making decisions, but I keep coming back so it makes sense to agree a new deal already as I enjoy being here at the Wildcats.”
“The club is getting better each year and I enjoy the town and the people, it really is a second home to me now.”
Nell added: “Jonas has been an exceptional player since joining this club and I’m thrilled that he has agreed to return for next year’s campaign.
“Jonas is the best playmaker in the league and his vision is second to none. He’s been better than ever this season, and he’s a massive part of our team and dressing room. He loves our club and wants nothing more than for the Wildcats to be successful.”
