Solihull Barons remain on course for a top three finish in NIHL North Moralee D1 after picking up a pair of victories.
Thomas Soar (above) hit a hat-trick as Barons sealed a 7-4 success at Sheffield Senators and they followed up with a 6-4 home win against second-placed Whitley Warriors.
The results confirmed Barons’ place in the end-of-season play-offs at Sheffield.
Blackburn Hawks need just one point to retain the title after a 4-0 victory at home to Telford Tigers NIHL – Ben Simister (2) led their scoring.
Two goals in the final minute by Stevie Moore and Iain Bowie helped Solway Sharks secure a 6-4 victory at Sheffield Spartans.
Sharks followed up with a 3-3 draw at Sutton Sting to end the weekend in fourth place and they look well-placed to claim the final play-off spot.
Billingham Stars are level on points with the Sharks after a 9-1 road success against the Senators, but the Dumfries outfit have three games in hand on the Teessiders.
The Hawks maintained their 100% record in the Northern Cup with a 2-1 overtime victory at Billingham.
In Laidler D2, Widnes Wild boosted their chances of securing a place in the promotion/relegation play-off with a 13-0 home win against Bradford Bulldogs – Scott McKenzie scored six.
Adrian Palak (3), James Parsons (2) and Marc Lovell (2) topped the scoring for Deeside Dragons in their 9-1 home success over the Bulldogs.
Blackburn Eagles sealed their place at the play-off weekend after winning 7-1 at Coventry Blaze.
Stuart Parker (2) and Connor Glossop (2) led the way for Nottingham Lions as they ran out 5-1 winners at home to Blaze.
