Blackburn Eagles secured promotion from NIHL North Laidler D2 after recording a pair of victories over the weekend.
The Eagles defeated title rivals Widnes Wild 5-4 at Blackburn Arena and followed up with a 5-1 success at Hull – Jordan Ashington (2), Aaron Jordan, Andrew Duxbury and Chris Jones got the goals against the Jets.
Nathan Britton scored twice for Sheffield Senators in their 4-1 victory at Coventry Blaze NIHL.
Nottingham Lions moved back into a play-off place with a 10-0 win at home to Coventry – Daniel Hazeldine (3) led their scoring.
Solihull Barons edged closer to a place in the Moralee D1 play-offs with a 7-3 home victory over Whitley Warriors – Andrew Whitehouse weighed in with a couple of goals.
Sutton Sting are just a point behind fourth-placed Warriors after picking up three points from their two weekend games.
Joseph Colton, Lloyd Gibson and James Spurr got the goals in Sting’s 3-1 home win against Deeside Dragons, and Spurr followed up with two more in their 3-3 draw at Blackburn Hawks.
Jack Watkins hit a hat-trick for Billingham Stars in their 6-3 home victory over Deeside, while champions Solway Sharks eased to a 4-2 home win against Telford Tigers NIHL.
