Chelmsford Chieftains remain top of NIHL1 South after extending their winning run to five games.
Juraj Huska and Danny Hammond got the goals in their 2-1 win at Wightlink Raiders, and Chieftains followed up with a 3-0 home success against Solent Devils – Huska (2) and Andrius Kaminskas were on target.
Streatham Redskins slipped to a 4-2 defeat at Bracknell Hornets, but they bounced back with a gritty 6-4 home victory against London raiders – Callum Best (2) and Kamil Kinkor (2) led their scoring.
Oxford City Stars produced an impressive performance at home to Invicta Dynamos to move up to third in the table. Goals by Shane Moore, Darren Elliott (above), Boris Ruzicka and Mike Whillock helped Stars to a comfortable 4-1 victory.
A late goal by Ondrej Zosiak ensured Dynamos didn’t end the weekend empty-handed as they recorded a 6-5 home win against MK Thunder.
Cardiff Devils NIHL lost 3-2 at London, but they picked up a point back on home ice against Wightlink – Owen Bradshaw’s strike 10 minutes from time sealing a 4-4 draw.
Chelmsford Warriors continued their excellent form in NIHL2 South with a 14-1 win at home to Slough Jets – Jake Sylvester (5), Jakub Klima (3) and Brandon Ayliffe (3) led the scoring.
Ollie Shone and Richie Hargreaves both hit hat-tricks for Bristol Pitbulls in their 10-6 success at Wightlink Tigers.
Haringey Racers’ failure to stay out of the penalty box cost them dearly at home to Peterborough islanders. The visitors converted all five of their powerplays on the way to a 6-3 victory – Conor Pollard (3) topped the scoring in front of a sizeable crowd at Alexandra Palace.
Loris Taylor (2) and Kyle Smith (2) led the way for Swindon Wildcats NIHL as they won by the odd goal in nine at Basingstoke Buffalo.
