Chelmsford Chieftains extended their lead at the top of NIHL1 South to seven points after picking up a pair of wins.

Juraj Huska (2), Danny Hammond, Matt France and Andrius Kaminskas got the goals as Chieftains won 5-4 at Streatham Redskins. Hammond (2) and Huska (2) were amongst the scorers again as the league leaders won 6-1 at home to Bracknell Hornets.

Streatham bounced back in style at Oxford City Stars with an 8-3 victory – Evander Grinell (2) topped the scoring.

Invicta Dynamos won 3-1 on home ice against Solent Devils – Conor Redmond, Steve Osman and Ondrej Zosiak got the goals.

Marek Nahlik (3) and Michal Oravec (2) led the way for London Raiders as they won 7-4 at home to Oxford. Josh Nickin scored twice in MK Thunder’s 8-4 home win against Cardiff Devils NIHL.

Chelmsford Warriors maintained their 100% NIHL2 South record with two contrasting victories.

Jake Sylvester scored four as Warriors demolished Haringey Racers 9-1, but they found things tougher at Lee Valley Lions.

The game was tied at 3-3 entering the final five minutes, before goals by Ellis Swainsbury and Harvey George kept the Warriors’ bandwagon rolling.

Peterborough Islanders won 7-0 at Basingstoke Buffalo in the D2 Cup – Martins Susters did the bulk of the damage with four of their goals.
