Hull Pirates have completed the signing of Brad Moore from Peterborough Phantoms.

The 19-year-old joins the Pirates for the 2016/17 season, and becomes Hull’s 11th addition to the roster for the new campaign.

Moore has iced for the Phantoms in the EPL during the past two seasons and also played regularly for Peterborough Islanders in NIHL2 South.

Player/Coach Dominic Osman said: “He was introduced to me by a guy who played against him in Nottingham, whose opinion I trust quite a bit.

“Brad is a player I believe deserves an opportunity and he will get that here.

“With the loss of a couple of guys and with the direction we feel like going, we definitely feel like Brad is one that is going to fill those spots.

“I think he’s ready to be playing in the EPL full-time and I think he does too.

“He felt his best opportunity was to be here in Hull and it’s definitely something that we’re looking forward to doing – working with him and building him and bringing on a younger guy.

“We are building a pretty solid team this year and we’re on the right track and he can definitely be the guy to fill some roles that we need to move forward with.

“He’s young, he’s hungry and he wants the chance and we want those kind of guys here.”

Hull owner Shane Smith added: “Losing a few players that we have has been a slight knock to us as these were younger players.

“However, Brad is younger than some of those guys and comes with two years experience of the EPL with the Phantoms.

“We were looking for younger players to recruit and are happy to bring Moore to Hull. We’re looking forward to working with him and helping to him to develop as a player.

“Despite his age he brings more experience with his time in the EPL. He was also an assistant captain for the Islanders in NIHL2, which shows his leadership qualities and he’ll bring that to Hull.”
