With the NIHL North season set to get underway in less than two weeks, Solway Sharks’ boss Martin Grubb has been busy strengthening his roster.

Ex-Blackburn Hawks defender Kim Miettinen (above) has joined the Moralee D1 club, while Struan Tonnar, Stuart Kerr, Joe Coulter and Stuart Anderson have all agreed another season in Dumfries.

Connor Henderson has also returned to the Sharks after spending the last two years in North America.

The Hawks have added EPL experience to their roster, with defender Steven Duncombe joining from Sheffield Steeldogs. Ex-Manchester Phoenix forward Jacob Corson-Heron has also signed for the Lancashire outfit.

Billingham Stars have boosted their defensive ranks with the signing of Scott Cooper from Whitley Warriors.

Liam Brown and Rory Dunn have been added to the Warriors’ roster.

Lloyd Gibson has joined Sutton Sting from the EPL’s Peterborough Phantoms, while Conor Gordon returns to Telford Tigers NIHL after a season with Solihull Barons.

In Laidler D2, Brian Worrall has agreed another season with Altrincham Aces, while former EPL netminder Declan Ryan has also signed for the club.

Tom Gilbert, Luke Stretton, Tom Revesz, Stephen Saunders, Jared Dickinson, Aran Fox and Jorge El-Hage have all been added to the Aces’ roster.

Widnes Wild have signed Vince Bullock, while Zac Chamberlain has joined Coventry Blaze NIHL.
