Paisley Pirates returned to action in the SNL after a five-week break to record an excellent 9-2 home win against Dundee Tigers.

Marc Crute (2) and Mark Hassan (2) led the way for the Pirates, with Richard Thorp, Haydn Bain, Calum Blair, Stuart Miller and Ian Turley also getting on the scoresheet.

The Pirates remain second in the table, two points behind Aberdeen Lynx but with two games in hand.

Iain Malcolm (3), Jordan Leyden (2) and Ross McIntosh (2) topped the scoring for Lynx as they recorded a stylish 10-2 home victory over Kilmarnock Storm.

North Ayrshire Wild extending their losing run to five games with a 5-0 defeat at home to the Tigers.

In the Scottish Cup quarter-final first leg, Dundee Comets won 10-2 on home ice against Moray Typhoons – Ross Johnston (4) was amongst the scorers.
