Manchester Phoenix have signed forward Michael Stratford from Swindon Wildcats.

The 19-year-old made his EPL debut during the 2012/13 season and has since gone on to represent Great Britain at both U18 and U20 level.

Stratford said: “I can’t wait to join up with Phoenix. I was up in Blackpool with Swindon last week and was very impressed with their effort against a big squad like the Cats have.

“I’ve not had a great deal of ice time at Swindon this season and when Aaron (Nell) told me Tony Hand had been asking about me, I thought it would be a good move.”
