Whitley Warriors still lead NIHL North Moralee D1 after a 4-3 home victory against Telford Tigers NIHL – Ben Richards scored the winner.
Sutton Sting and Sheffield Spartans shared the spoils in their weekend double-header with a win apiece. Slav Movko and Carl Ashton both scored twice in Sting’s 7-5 success, but Spartans gained their revenge with a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture.
James Smith (4) led the scoring for Telford in their 6-3 home win against Solway Sharks. Tom Soar’s second goal of the night sealed a 5-4 victory for Solihull Barons at home to Solway.
Deeside Dragons lead Laidler D2 after an 11-1 win at Blackburn Eagles – Adrian Palak scored four.
Nottingham Lions forward Connor Glossop (above) also hit four in their 6-2 home success against Hull Jets. Widnes Wild won 12-2 at Bradford Bulldogs and 6-1 at home to Coventry Blaze – Scott McKenzie bagged six goals over the two games. Altrincham Aces won 6-1 at Coventry, but failed to follow up on home ice as they slipped to a 3-2 defeat against the Eagles.
Streatham Redskins still lead NIHL1 South after a 10-3 win at home to Oxford City Stars. Alex Sampford hit a hat-trick for Wightlink Raiders in their 4-2 home victory against MK Thunder.
Marek Nahlik (4) led the way for London Raiders as they won 10-6 at Cardiff Devils NIHL. Chelmsford Chieftains secured a 4-1 success at Bracknell Hornets – Juraj Huska scored three. In the NIHL1S Cup, Invicta Dynamos won 7-4 at home to London and Solent Devils drew 3-3 with Wightlink.
Bristol Pitbulls kicked off their NIHL2S campaign with a 6-5 win at Wightlink Tigers. Slough Jets fell to a surprise 4-3 defeat at Invicta Mustangs.
Guildford Flames moved to the top of the EPL after a four-point weekend. Danny Meyers hit the winner in their 5-4 overtime success at Sheffield Steeldogs, and Flames followed up with a 6-0 home win against Swindon Wildcats.
Peterborough Phantoms also picked up two victories, winning 3-0 at home to Bracknell Bees and 2-0 at Telford Tigers. Ryan Watt bagged the shoot-out decider for Basingstoke Bison in their 3-2 home win against Hull Pirates, but they failed to follow up as they crashed 4-1 at Bracknell.
Bobby Chamberlain’s late strike sealed a 4-3 win for MK Lightning at home to Telford, and they completed a successful weekend with a 3-1 victory at Hull. Manchester Phoenix lost 5-3 at Swindon, but they bounced back on home ice with a stylish 5-2 win against the Steeldogs.
Nottingham Panthers lead the Elite League after a pair of home victories. Panthers triumphed 3-1 against Cardiff Devils and 4-1 against Braehead Clan. Belfast Giants won 2-1 at Coventry Blaze, Sheffield Steelers enjoyed a 6-5 overtime success at Dundee Stars and Fife Flyers lost 5-2 at Cardiff.
In the Elite Challenge Cup Steelers won 3-1 at home to Manchester Storm. Belfast cruised to a 4-1 home success against Braehead, while Fife defeated Edinburgh Capitals 5-2. Coventry Blaze lost 4-1 at Manchester and Dundee fell 4-3 after overtime at Edinburgh.
